- On envy
“Do the sorts of things that come from the heart. Whenever you do, you will not be disappointed, you will not be jealous, you will not be yearning for another person’s things. Going against the norm, you’ll be overpowered with what returns”
With regards to getting things done from the heart, composing is no special case. In a blog entry, Jordan Bach discusses sharing substance from the heart, something I figure each peruser can detect and feel. Jordan says: “Each and every time I post something simply because I feel like I ought to, it misfires. Then again, each and every time I post something that I feel is genuinely useful (regardless of whether it could appear to be unexpectedly to my crowd) supernatural occurrences occur.”
Real composition and living overall means composing and living from the heart. - On carrying on with a significant life
“Dedicate yourself to cherishing others, commit yourself to your local area around you and give yourself to making something that provides you motivation and signifying”
I’ve been pondering making a local area and the force of local area in causing ourselves to feel comfortable, regardless of where we are. Living in a city like Paris, a local area doesn’t grow naturally, yet it’s something that requires cognizant exertion and expectation.
One method for making a local area, as indicated by The Little Book of Lykke’s writer Meik Wiking, is to lay out a book-loaning pantry in the flight of stairs of your structure. Propelled by the numerous models in this book, I’m intending to arrange an outside film night in our structure’s yard this mid year. - On generosity (and my cherished sentence on the planet)
“Considering this, my encounters with Morrie felt like a purging wash of human generosity”
A purging wash of human benevolence… . Most likely my beloved line of four words (and a relational word and an article) of all time. They make my spirit grin. - On death
“Figure out how to pass on and you figure out how to live”
Morrie says that it’s at the times of passing on that things begin to clear up for us – what’s significant and so forth.
